Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using our website.
By using our website you agree to our terms and conditions.
In these terms of sale, “we” means Je t’aime (and “us” and “our” will be construed accordingly); and “you” means our customer or potential customer for products (and “your” will be construed accordingly).
(3) Order process
The advertising of products on our website constitutes an “invitation to treat”; and your order for products constitutes a contractual offer. No contract will come into force between you and we unless and until we accept your order in accordance with the procedure detailed below.
In order to enter into a contract to purchase products from us, you will need to take the following steps:
(i) you must add the products you wish to purchase to your shopping cart, and then proceed to the checkout; (ii) if you are a new customer, you must then create an account with us and log in; if you are an existing customer, you must enter your login details; or you have an option to become a guest customer (iii) once you are logged in, you must select your preferred method of delivery and confirm your order and your consent to these terms of sale; (iv) you will be transferred to our online payment gateway system which will handle your payment; (v) we will then send you an initial acknowledgement saying “thank you for your order”; and (vi) once we have checked whether we are able to meet your order, we will either send you an order confirmation or we will confirm by email that we are unable to meet your order. Once payment has been received you will have a binding contract with us.
We will not file a copy of these terms of sale specifically in relation to your order. We may update the version of these terms of sale on the website from time to time without prior notice, and we do not guarantee that the version you have agreed to will remain accessible. We therefore recommend that you download, print and retain a copy of these terms of sale for your records.
The only language in which we provide these terms of sale is English.
Before you place your order, you will have the opportunity of identifying whether you have made any input errors by selecting the appropriate product, quantity, ring size and any information relating to your order. You should correct any errors before placing your order with us by amending the necessary information relating to your order.
Je t’aime Limited reserves the right to refuse the supply of goods at our discretion.
(4) The products
All our items of Jewellery are illustrated on our website and our diamonds comply with the “Kimberley Process” and UN regulations. All products are made to order as per the customer’s request. Our bespoke design service is made to the customer specification unless stated before commencement of work. We will only commence work on any bespoke jewellery upon your consent.
All products on our website are subject to availability. If the item is not available and the payment has been made in full and funds cleared we will refund you the payment made unless we can offer you an alternative that meets your expectations. All our clarities and colour of diamonds are to minimum specifications and should a higher specification be available we will gladly upgrade the appropriate gemstone at no extra cost. Whilst every effort will be made to meet the exact specification of your purchased stone this will not vary more than 0.03cts under the specified weight but may exceed the weight to meet your specification. All solitaire rings and solitaire rings with shoulder stones over 0.30cts will be certified by one of the well known diamond grading laboratories. All diamonds that fall in the category of 10 to 15 points will be checked by our Quality Assurance Department and all small stones will come with a free valuation report. The weight of all our diamonds across our range of jewellery is approximate.
We may contact you to advise you of possible diamond gemstones available across certified diamonds for you to choose from before we begin to manufacture and handcraft your item of jewellery.
The metal weight of each ring is approximate as each cast is unique and has its own characteristics. It therefore will be considered as acceptable if the weight of the metal is 5% either side of the stated weight on the website.
Resizing – if the wrong size has been ordered we are happy to resize the ring within one size up or down of the original size ordered providing you notify us within 7 days of receipt. However under these conditions we will not be able to offer you any refund for return postage costs. Anything outside these terms is subject to a charge between £20.00 - £40.00 depending on the type of ring and the difference in size required. For eternity rings please take additional care when ordering as resizing is much more complex and sometimes cannot be achieved. If it is possible to resize we will communicate with you to agree the change before commencing any work. Some rings cannot be resized so please be sure of your ring size before placing your order. Please note full set wedding bands and some other jewellery cannot be resized once all the diamonds have been set into the ring. Free ring sizers are available from us upon request.
Exchanges will be done on a like for like basis or any plus or minus price differences that may be involved at our discretion.
We are not subject to reimburse our customers for any costs associated to any alteration of their item of jewellery unless agreement has been made with us beforehand.
If we have sent you incorrect goods to what was purchased from us originally we will reimburse you the full cost of postage (proof of postage will be required) within 30 days of us receiving the incorrect goods. In the meantime we will endeavour to send the correct goods at our earliest convenience or keep you informed.
Every effort has been made to ensure all descriptions and representations have been accurately recorded. However we will not be held responsible for any errors that may have been made on our website.
Images shown are not actual sizes of the product. All the weight, measurements and sizes are approximate and are included as a guide only. If this is a cause of concern for you please contact our customer service consultants who will endeavour to discuss your requirements with you.
All our products are guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase and hallmarked by the British Assay Office (UK government approved agency). Whilst every effort has been made to produce each item of jewellery to the highest quality standard, any wear or damage incurred after delivery is your sole responsibility. All stones set on any item of jewellery are checked by our Quality Assurance department and again by our independent Quality Inspectors before despatch. Therefore we cannot cover through our 12 months warranty cover any loss of precious stones from your diamond jewellery or from any work carried out by third parties. Should you find one of your stones to be lose we suggest you make contact with us immediately for us to advise you further. We recommend that you insure the item of jewellery at the time of purchase with your insurer in case of any accidental loss. Please note our 12 months guaranteed workmanship becomes void once any work has been carried out by a third party source.
Upon delivery all purchases will come with a full invoice detailing all necessary information.
We reserve the right to make relevant changes to prices and details at any time without notice, as a result in demand, availability and fluctuations in the market prices.
All images, material and contents on this website are the property of Je t’aime and its suppliers and no use of the aforementioned is permitted without prior permission. It is strictly prohibited to copy, print, or transfer any part of this website without written prior consent.
(5) Price and payment
Prices for products are quoted on our website. The website contains a large number of products and it is always possible that some of the prices on the website may be incorrect. Should you have purchased goods at the incorrect price, we reserve the right to return the amount paid in full and cancel the purchase if no alternative solution can be agreed upon.
In addition to the price of the products, you will not have to pay a delivery charge as this is free of charge if you live within England, Scotland and Wales.
No discount codes can be used for any special offers or sale items.
We reserve the right to withdraw any special offers, discounts, or sale items without prior notice.
Payment must be made upon the submission of your order. We may withhold the products and/or cancel the contract between us if the payment is not received from you in full and funds cleared.
For any bespoke design service we will advise you of the full costs for you to consider before commencing any work. All payments for bespoke jewellery will be made payable by you in advance and funds cleared before any work is commenced.
For your peace of mind and security we will not hold any records of your credit/debit card details and any security information you provide us.
The prices on the website include all value added taxes.
Payment for all products must be made in full by credit, debit card, over the phone, cheque OR any method detailed on the website from time to time.
If you wish to pay by cheque please select “payment by personal Cheque” when on the payment screen of our website. Upon confirmation of order please make personal cheque payable to Je t’aime Limited and write down your order number and your name, home address and personal email address on the back of the cheque. Once the cheque has been cleared (please allow 4-5 working days) your order will begin to be processed. Due to cheques having to be cleared before production commences, this will extend delivery time by one week. If the cheque does not clear, we have the right to terminate the contract with you.
We will not be held responsible for any goods or payments not received by us.
Prices for products are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect contracts which have come into force.
If you dispute any payment made to us you must contact us immediately and provide full details of your claim. If you submit an unjustified credit card, debit card or other charge-back then you will be liable to pay us, within 7 days following the date of the charge-back: (i) an amount equal to the amount of the charge-back; (ii) all third party expenses incurred by us in relation to the charge-back (include charges made by our or your bank or payment processor or card issuer); (iii) an administration fee of GBP £25.00 including VAT; and (iv) all our reasonable costs, losses and expenses incurred in recovering the amounts referred to in this paragraph including without limitation legal fees and debt collection fees.
Without prejudice to our other rights, if you submit an unjustified credit card, debit card or other charge-back, then we may terminate any contracts between you and us under these terms of sale by giving you written notice of termination.
For the avoidance of doubt, if you fail to recognise or fail to remember the source of an entry on your card statement or other financial statement, and make a charge-back as a result, this will constitute an unjustified charge-back.
